The SFP+ 10G ZR transceiver is designed to transmit up to 80 kilometers of 10-Gigabit Ethernet links through single mode optical fiber. This module consists of a CWDM DFB laser, APD, and Preamplifier in a highly integrated optical sub assembly. The digital diagnostic function can be achieved through a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472. The transceiver provides a unique enhanced digital diagnostic monitoring interface, allowing real-time access to operating parameters such as temperature, laser bias current, emission optical power, reception optical power, and transceiver power supply voltage of the transceiver. It also defines a complex alarm and warning sign system that alerts end users when specific operating parameters exceed the normal range set by the factory.
